On 24th September, the weeklong Tenby Arts Festival opens with THE TENBY BOOK FAIR, with a host of authors ready and willing to promote, sign or discuss their work with the publish.
This event has grown over the years and this time there will be 3 publishers on hand, as well as 25 authors, covering a wide range of genres; children’s, historical, thrillers, romance, poetry, fantasy, crime, family sagas, biographies… you name it. Entry to the fair, at St Mary’s Church House in the heart of the old town, is FREE.
AND you get to visit beautiful Tenby, with its ancient walled town and its fabulous beaches.
Last year, the fair featured a writing competition for young people, with prizes donated by Firefly Press.
This year, the Book Fair is going one step further and holding 3 writing competitions:
a short essay on ‘My Favourite Character’ for children under 12
a flash fiction competition, “A Creepy Tale,” for teens, 12-18;
a short story competition, “The Bag Lady,” for adults, over 18.
Entries for the first two are free. There’s a £3 fee for the short story competition.
Prizes are being provided by Firefly Press and Cambria Publishing Co-operative.
